AerCap leased, purchased and sold a total of 203 assets during the first quarter of 2025, the company revealed in an operational report on April 4, 2025.
The lessor signed a total of 112 lease agreements during the quarter, which was made up of four widebody aircraft, 47 narrowbodies, 42 engines and 19 helicopters.
During the quarter, the lessor also purchased 49 assets. These assets included eight A320neo family aircraft, three 737 MAX aircraft, one 787-9 and one Embraer E195-E2. These aircraft will all join AerCap's owned aircraft portfolio.
In addition, the lessor also purchased 35 engines for AerCap's owned engine portfolio and one helicopter.
In terms of sales during the quarter, AerCap completed 42 sale transactions, including 29 aircraft from both owned and managed portfolios. The company also sold 11 engines, and two helicopters.
Aircraft sold in the first quarter included A320neo family jets, Embraer E190s and ATR72-600s.
AerCap has also signed financing transactions for approximately $1.5bn during the first three months of the year, repurchased approximately 5.7 million shares for a total of $558 million, and declared quarterly cash dividend on ordinary shares of $0.27 per share.
