Aer Lingus has transferred its operations at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport from Terminal 5 to Terminal 3 in a move to ‘create a more efficient travel and customer experience’.
Customers travelling to Ireland will be greeted by six dedicated Aer Lingus check-in desks located in the departure terminal, while business class, AerClub Concierge and Platium customers will have access to the AA Flagship and Admiral lounges.
Aer Lingus has operated services to Chicago since 1966, with the Dublin to Chicago route consistently ranking as one of its ‘top three transatlantic routes’. Aer Lingus chief customer officer Susanne Carberry described the move as “an exciting milestone” and one that would bring the carrier closer to its partner American Airlines, which will offer connections from O’Hare to 117 domestic destinations at the peak of this summer’s travel season.
Aer Lingus’ nine weekly direct flights from Dublin to O’Hare will increase to 14 times weekly in March ahead of the summer.
