Airport operator Aena saw record traffic growth at its Spanish airports during 2024, serving 309.3 million passengers.
The company noted that traffic grew at its Spanish airports by 9.2% in comparison to figures from 2023.
Madrid’s Adolfo Suárez Barajas Airport led the year with 66.2 million passengers, marking a 9.9% increase compared to 2023. It was followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, which handled just over 55 million passengers, and Palma de Mallorca Airport, recording 33.3 million passengers.
Aena, which operates airports in Spain, Brazil and the UK, recorded a total of 369.4 million passengers during 2024, up 8.5% on the year prior.
