Greek airline AEGEAN disclosed an order for an additional eight A321neo aircraft on March 14, 2025.
The order expands the carrier's original agreement for A320/A321neo family aircraft initially signed in 2018, with deliveries commencing in 2020, bringing the total to 58 aircraft.
“The expansion of our investment plan with the additional order of eight new Airbus A321neo aircraft is essential for achieving our growth objectives and further enhancing the competitiveness of our operations," said AEGEAN CEO Dimitris Gerogiannis. "It is also clear that we have a strong preference for the larger-capacity and extended-range version of the A321neo type, which will soon represent two-thirds of our Airbus fleet.”
The order disclosure appears to confirm Airbus' undisclosed order on February 14, 2025, for eight A321neo aircraft.
The 58 committed aircraft consist of 21 A320neo, 33 A321neo (including the additional eight), and four A321LR aircraft. To date, 34 of the committed aircraft, with one A320neo already delivered in 2025. The airline expects to take delivery of four more of its committed aircraft in the year.
