Aircraft leasing specialist ACC Aviation has released a new insight into the ACMI landscape in the African aviation sector, concluding the industry is witnessing ‘a remarkable recovery and growth after the pandemic’.
Despite the difficulties experienced by the sector, including ‘high operational costs, inadequate infrastructure, connectivity restrictions, protectionism, and blocked funds,’ ‘demand has surged in Africa, as airlines face capacity constraints and operational challenges,’ concluded Andreas Pericleous, vice president of business development at ACC Aviation and author of the report.
Additionally, the report concludes that ACMI solutions in the upcoming season will continue to experience ‘sustained demand’. “We have witnessed first-hand the benefits and advantages of ACMI solutions for our clients, who have been able to meet their operational needs and overcome their challenges with our support,” concluded Pericleous.
