Aviation services company AAR has announced the election of Atlas Air president and chief executive John W Dietrich to its board.
Dietrich, who is also chairman of the National Defense Transportation Association, "brings significant aviation and airline management expertise in both the airfreight and passenger sectors, as well as aircraft leasing," said AAR chairman, president and chief executive John M Holmes.
“His leadership and industry insights will be valuable as we continue to grow AAR’s capabilities," Holmes said of Dietrich, who "has over 30 years of experience with multi-national companies and all facets of aviation and airline management", including as an attorney at United Airlines and on the board of directors of Airlines for America (A4A) as well as the board of governors at the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
