2024 AGM: Airbus shareholders approve all resolutions
Airbus shareholders have approved all resolutions at the French manufacturer’s 2024 AGM, held on April 10 in Amsterdam, including the appointment of a non-executive director and the renewal of current non-executive directors. Chairman René Obermann’s three-year board mandate was renewed, following which he was formally reappointed chairman of the board in a separate meeting held after the AGM. The mandates of three fellow non-executive directors Victor Chu, Jean-Pierre Clamadieu and Amparo Moraleda were also renewed. Additionally, Dr Feiyu Qu was appointed as a new non-executive director, replacing Ralph Crosby Jr. who resigned on the date of the AGM following over a decade of service on the board. Dr X was appointed for a term of two years and her appointment increases the proportion of female directors from 33% to 42%. Finally, the proposed payments of a 2023 gross dividend of €1.80 per share ($1.92) and a special dividend of €1 per share ($1.06) also received approval.
