Some 7.8 million passengers are expected to pass through Keflavik Airport next year, Iceland’s main air travel hub.
The traffic, should it materialise, would exceed the 2019 number by half a million and would be the third most on record, said Isavia, Iceland’s national airport and air navigation service provider.
The north Atlantic island is expecting a near-record number of tourists in 2023, Isavia added, just short of the annual record set in 2018.
