Boeing’s chief engineer and executive council member Greg Hyslop is to retire in June 2023 after a 41-year career and will be be succeeded by Howard McKenzie, the lead engineer in the commercial airplanes unit. Hyslop, who is also executive vice president of engineering, test and technology, has led the engineering division since 2019. In the meantime he has “led the realignment of the company’s engineers under one organisation, championed changes to empower engineers and instituted next-generation design practices”, according to Boeing. “Greg has modelled Boeing’s commitment to engineering excellence throughout his four decades here,” said Dave Calhoun, Boeing president
