JetBlue Airways has requested United Airlines to be disqualified from securing one of five new round-trip routes from the congested Washington Reagan National Airport, Reuters reported. The route would see United operate from the airport to Los Angeles. The request was made to the US Transportation Department. JetBlue argued that the flight would take off too early in the morning – before 7am – which is prohibited by Congress.
