Iberia will be the first airline to launch the new Airbus aircraft, the A321XLR. It is set to receive the aircraft by the end of summer. A statement from Iberia said: “This aircraft will strengthen Iberia’s long-haul fleet and will do so in a more sustainable and innovative way by offering the possibility of operating the airline’s transoceanic routes with a narrow-body aircraft”.
