German Airways has entered into a strategic partnership with the Swedish airline Braathens Regional Airlines. The German regional airline will cooperate with Braathens for several years using a wet-lease agreement (set to begin in March 2020) including the long-term leasing of five Embraer E-190 LR regional jets. They will be stationed at various Swedish airports and will operate domestic and international routes from there. Braathens had been looking for a reliable European partner with modern and low-emission aircraft for a long time. With the Embraer jets of German Airways operated by WDL, the airline has now found a suitable solution.
