Chinese news agency, Xinhua, has reported that Far Eastern Air Transport Corp. (FAT), a Taiwan-based carrier, suspended operations without warning due to a shortage of capital. FAT chairman, Chang Kang-wei, said that the company has approached three groups of investors, and if those funds are secured, he hopes flights could be resumed soon.
