Cathay Pacific releases traffic figures for August

Cathay Pacific carried 2.1 million passengers in August 2024, up 15.9% compared to the same month last year. When comparing the same period, capacity was up 19.8%, as well as revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) up by 15.9%. Passenger load factor was down 2.9% percentage points to 85.2%. In the first eight months of the year, the airline carried a total of 14.7 million passengers, an increase of 29.9% compared to last year. Comparing the same period, capacity was up 36.1%, while RPKs were up 29.2%.
