Strike action by catering workers has impacted all flights leaving London’s Gatwick airport, will no food or beverages available on any easyJet or TUI flights, UK workers’ union Unite has confirmed. ‘The strikes by Dnata catering staff… are over the company’s unilateral removal of a shift allowance for all staff last April’ explains Unite, which claims ‘the move has led to all Dnata’s workers receiving a pay cut of between £1,500 and £2,000 a worker’.
