WestJet is hoping to start flying into Orange County’s John Wayne Airport next year, after sitting on its waiting list for four years. The Calgary-based airline, which was undergoing noise qualification tests at the airport Tuesday, would be interested in operating a flight a day, and possibly two, into the southern California airport, John Wayne spokeswoman Jenny Wedge confirmed.
