Vietjet Thailand has begun operating its first international route using the Boeing 737-8, marking a new phase in the airline’s fleet strategy alongside its established Airbus operations.
The aircraft has been deployed on the Bangkok–Nha Trang route, with daily round-trip flights linking Thailand and Vietnam’s key tourism centres.
The carrier said the move supports its plan to diversify its fleet and strengthen medium-haul international growth. Vietjet Thailand received its first Boeing aircraft in November 2025 and initially introduced the type on domestic services.
Vietjet Thailand currently operates six direct routes between Vietnam and Thailand and plans to build a fleet of 50 Boeing 737-8 aircraft to support further expansion to markets including Japan, South Korea and China.
