South African Airways (SAA) has denied its latest government may have contravened the Domestic Air Transport Policy (DATP), which is an agreement between private sector carriers governed by the South African Department of Transport ensure fair competition and equal treatment of operators.
SAA acting chief executive Nico Bezuidenhout says the domestic policy has no relevance to the national carrier’s government guarantees and that other airlines can seek the same recourse.
