Ryanair signs OTA partnership with Vola and Fru

Ryanair has signed a new partnership agreement with online travel platforms Vola and Fru, expanding its network of approved online travel agency (OTA) partners in Central and Eastern Europe.

The two platforms, which are part of the ITH Group and operate primarily in Romania and Poland, will now offer Ryanair flights and ancillary services directly to their customers.

Under the agreement, travellers booking Ryanair flights via Vola or Fru will receive full price transparency and direct access to their booking information, consistent with the airline’s existing “Approved OTA” partnerships.

Ryanair chief marketing officer Dara Brady said the deal would allow customers of the two platforms to access the airline’s network of more than 230 destinations while ensuring they receive flight updates and booking information directly from Ryanair.

ITH Group co-founder and chief executive Daniel Truica said the partnership would allow Vola and Fru customers to connect directly with Europe’s largest low-cost carrier through the companies’ booking platforms.

Ryanair has been expanding its network of authorised OTA partnerships in recent months as it seeks to improve distribution control and pricing transparency across third-party booking channels.
