Rosen Aviation unveils AI cabin assistant ‘Avia’ at AIX 2026

Tech firm, Rosen Aviation, has introduced an artificial intelligence-powered in-cabin assistant concept, positioning it as a potential next step in passenger experience and aircraft cabin management. The system, named Avia, was unveiled at the Aircraft Interiors Expo 2026 in Hamburg.

Developed in collaboration with 3D visualisation firm KiPcreating, Avia is a full 3D-rendered personal assistant designed to integrate with Rosen’s Celestia Cabin Management System. The company said the concept goes beyond traditional voice control, using AI and large language models to interpret passenger behaviour, context and tone, while interacting in multiple languages.

Rosen said the assistant could manage a wide range of functions, including adjusting cabin lighting and environmental controls, coordinating ground services such as hotels and transport, and integrating with external digital tools for tasks such as scheduling or content generation. The aim is to create a more personalised and responsive onboard environment, particularly in premium and business aviation settings.

Lee Clark, senior vice president of strategy at Rosen Aviation, said the concept demonstrates how AI could reshape expectations of in-flight service. “Avia represents a significant step towards bridging the gap between science fiction and reality,” he said, adding that such capabilities could eventually become a standard feature in future aircraft cabins.
