In protest at a proposed route-sharing deal with Turkish Airlines, staff at Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have gone on strike. Employees were seen to be lying on the runway for hours to stop PIA’s flights taking off from Islamabad airport.
Flights were grounded in Lahore and Islamabad, and Karachi was also affected.
