European helicopter service provider, NHV Group has introduced Airbus H160 helicopters to its fleet, as it expands across offshore energy markets in Europe and Africa.
The aircraft, leased from GD Helicopter Finance, will support operations in the North Sea and Baltic Sea regions, with initial deployments from bases in countries including Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium. The helicopters are expected to enter commercial service in May 2026.
The Airbus H160 is a next-generation medium helicopter designed for offshore missions, including oil and gas transport and crew transfers for offshore wind projects. NHV said the addition would enhance operational efficiency and flexibility while supporting demand for more cost-efficient and lower-emission aircraft.
The move forms part of NHV’s broader fleet modernisation strategy, as the company looks to strengthen its position in offshore aviation and expand its capabilities in line with evolving customer requirements.
