Kumarasingam to lead Pratt & Whitney Canada as Della Posta retires

Satheeshkumar “Kumar” Kumarasingam, a long-serving executive within Pratt & Whitney, will succeed Della Posta and report to president Shane Eddy. He joined the company in 1995 and has held senior roles across engineering, operations, sales and customer service, most recently serving as chief digital officer.

Announcing the appointment, Eddy said: “Kumar has been an instrumental leader across Pratt & Whitney and brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of customers and the markets in which Pratt & Whitney Canada operates. I am confident that Kumar will continue to drive innovative growth and deliver exceptional customer service while maximizing operational performance worldwide.”

Pratt & Whitney Canada is a major player in regional and business aviation engines, with a portfolio of nearly 75,000 engines in service and around 14,000 customers globally. The leadership transition comes as the business continues to play a key role within parent company RTX’s long-term growth strategy.
