Korean Air has finalised a deal to buy a 44% stake in Czech Airlines for €2.64 million. The South Korean carrier now becomes the second-largest shareholder in the state-run airline behind Czech Aeroholding, which hold 51.7%.
Korean Air was the only bidder for the loss-making airline, which posted a 241 million koruna loss in 2011.
