Gama Aviation has opened its Business Aviation Centre at Sharjah International Airport.
The facility has a 12,000 square metre, three-bay hangar for aircraft parking, storage, and line maintenance, as well as an integrated MRO infrastructure. Gama said this allows for “quick aircraft turnaround and reduced downtime”.
The new facility offers a host of guests services such as lounges, as well as amenities for aircrew
“The Business Aviation Centre in Sharjah is the culmination of a 12-year partnership with Sharjah Airport Authority to foster private aviation growth at the airport,” said Gama Aviation group CEO Marwan Khalek. “Strategically positioned as one of the United Arab Emirates' key gateways, the airport offers convenient access to Sharjah, Dubai, and the northern Emirates.”
The new facility coincides with plans to end business aviation activity at Dubai International Airport.
Tom Murphy, MD - FBO of Gama Aviation, said, “The Business Aviation Centre is designed towards the benefits that our clients and aircraft operators value most: speed, reliability, and a frictionless experience.
The new facility is open to traffic and is preparing for its official opening later this year.
