DHL Aviation has introduced two dedicated Boeing 737-400 freighter aircraft into service at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport, expanding its air network in West Africa.
The additional aircraft will be integrated into DHL Aviation’s Sub-Saharan Africa network and are intended to improve transit times, delivery reliability and connectivity on key Africa–Europe and Africa–Asia trade lanes.
DHL said the increased capacity is aimed at supporting growing demand from sectors including e-commerce, perishables, energy, and life sciences and healthcare. The move forms part of the company’s wider investment programme in aviation and logistics infrastructure across Sub-Saharan Africa.
