China Eastern Airlines has launched a direct route between Shanghai and Cairo serviced by its A350-900 aircraft.
The 10 hour flight from Shanghai Pudong International Airport departs three times a week and returns from Cairo three times a week. It is the first direct passenger flight route from Shanghai to North Africa operated by a Chinese airline.
The inaugural flight was held on December 11.
