Eve and Widerøe Zero extend partnership, sign LOI for up to 50 eVTOLs

Ex-Cathay Pacific executive John Olsen has called on the UK government to build a new £15 billion airport in the flatlands of north Kent to alleviate pressure on London Heathrow.
Olsen, who also ran Dan-Air, is pushing plans for a new three-runway airport known as the London Gateway airport. It is hoped the airport could handle up to 100 million passengers a year and could be built over 10 years.
The Independent Aviation Advisory Group is reviewing the scheme and is believed to have had preliminary talks with potential backers. The scheme is estimated to cost £35 billion less than the Thames estuary project championed by London Mayor Boris Johnson.
