Boeing inks 'largest-ever' landing gear exchange agreement with Singapore Airlines

Boeing has signed a landing gear exchange agreement with the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group at the Singapore Airshow.

The OEM said this is its largest-ever contract of this type in its history.

Under the deal, Boeing will provide landing gear exchanges for over 75 aircraft across SIA's 737 MAX and 787 fleets.

The exchange programme will allow for greater gear overhaul scheduling flexibility, which will optimise the useful life of the gears and minimise aircraft downtime.

“By combining our global inventory and rapid distribution capabilities with the carrier’s maintenance planning, this agreement helps deliver parts faster and closer to operations—reducing downtime and supporting consistent, reliable service,” said Boeing Global Services SVP, parts & distribution William Ampofo.

Boeing said the agreement complements its broader aftermarket portfolio — including parts distribution, repair management and logistics solutions.
