Azorra, the U.S.-based commercial lessor, has acquired nine General Electric CF34-10E engines from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, expanding its engine leasing portfolio as airlines face ongoing maintenance and capacity challenges.
The engines, which power Embraer E190 and E195 aircraft, will be added to Azorra’s existing portfolio and leased to airline customers globally.
Shahin Mehrabanzad, Vice President of Engine Programmes and Support Solutions at Azorra, said the acquisition reflects the company’s focus on “high-demand engine assets” and its relationship with DAE. He added that, in the current operating environment, access to available engines is critical as airlines contend with maintenance delays and extended shop visit timelines.
“These engines provide immediate, practical support for fleet reactivation and ongoing operations,” he said.
The transaction builds on an earlier agreement between the two companies in May 2025, under which Azorra agreed to acquire 49 Embraer E-Jet aircraft and two CF34 engines from DAE.
Azorra said its portfolio of owned, managed and committed aircraft and engines now exceeds 300 assets as of April 2026, reflecting continued expansion across both aircraft and engine leasing markets.
