ATR and Fly91 sign eight-year maintenance deal

ATR and Indian regional start-up Fly91 have signed a new eight-year Global Maintenance Agreement (GMA) to support the carrier’s fleet growth and provide long-term cost visibility.

Fly91 currently operates four ATR 72-600 aircraft, with two more due to join the fleet in early 2026. The airline has been a GMA customer since 2024, using ATR’s support services covering components, repairs, propeller availability and maintenance.

The updated agreement reflects Fly91’s plans to expand operations while maintaining predictable maintenance costs as utilisation rises above 2,500 flight hours per aircraft per year. Fly91 said the extended contract will help sustain reliability as it scales up its network.

ATR said the renewed partnership underlines the growing role of turboprops in India’s regional aviation market, where airlines are increasingly deploying smaller aircraft to connect secondary cities and develop new routes.
