Ascent Aviation appoints Scott Diaz as EVP Sales & Marketing as CCO Scott Butler departs

U.S.-based Ascent Aviation Services has announced a senior leadership transition, appointing Scott Diaz as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing while Chief Commercial Officer Scott Butler prepares to leave the company later this month.

Butler, who has served as chief commercial officer for nearly eight years, is set to depart after overseeing the company’s commercial strategy during a period of expansion. Ascent said his tenure included growing its global customer base and strengthening its position in the aviation services market.

Diaz, who recently joined the company, will take on the expanded leadership role overseeing sales and marketing. The company said he brings industry experience and a track record in revenue growth and customer engagement.

Dave Querio, president and chief executive of Ascent Aviation Services, said Diaz’s appointment would support the company’s next phase of development.

Ascent Aviation Services is one of the largest independent providers of aircraft aftermarket services, offering maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), storage and reclamation services for widebody, narrowbody and regional aircraft. The company operates as a Federal Aviation Administration-certified repair station and has maintained operations in Arizona for more than 40 years.

The leadership changes come as the company continues to focus on expanding its capabilities and supporting airline and leasing customers across its global network.
