Air Mauritius confirmed yesterday that it had, with immediate effect, sacked its chief executive officer. The company's board of directors did not give a reason for removing Soobhiraj Bungsraz just over two months after his appointment on 29th September 2010. the Indian Ocean island's national carrier said in a statement that Chief Finance Operator Andries Viljoen would take over management of the airline until further notice.
