Air Astana will expand its China network with the launch of a new service between Almaty and Shanghai at the end of March 2026.
The airline, which already serves Beijing, Guangzhou, Sanya and Urumqi, said the route will operate three times weekly using Airbus A321LR aircraft. Flights from Almaty will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, departing at 19:10 and arriving in Shanghai at 04:25 the next day.
The return service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, leaving Shanghai at 05:40 and arriving back in Almaty at 10:15 (all times local). Flight time is scheduled at 6 hours 15 minutes.
