Low-cost carrier Zipair Tokyo obtained an airline's license from Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
The subsidiary of Japan Airlines is set to open a route linking Narita International Airport near Tokyo and Bangkok on May 14, 2020, and operate flights between Narita and Seoul from July 1 the same year.
The routes will fly two times a day and utilise Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
