Yingling Aviation has completed its first winglet installation as Yingling on a Falcon 900, delivering a structural modification performed by its sheetmetal team.
The project included reinforcing ribs and a 12-foot strap installation along each wing.
Kyle Janssen, project lead at Yingling, said that although it was Yingling’s first winglet installation, the crew collectively already has “dozens” of such installations under its belt.
Vendor partner Aviation Partners visited the facility to supervise the work onsite.
Harley Howell, trainer at Aviation Partners, said it was the “fastest” and most ahead-of-schedule winglet insulation he has seen.
Gary Dunn, president of Aviation Partners, said the company is “excited to have an installation partner that can execute at this level."
