World Energy joins ATAG as Strategic Associate
Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) producer World Energy has joined the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG) as a Strategic Associate member, ‘highlighting the importance of collaboration in ramping up SAF availability,’ explains ATAG. “As a pioneer in commercialising sustainable aviation fuel for over a decade, we are well aware of the power of collaboration,” said World Energy CEO Gene Gebolys. “World Energy is committed to scaling the market and is making significant investment in SAF production with a goal of producing 1 billion gallons annually by 203-, But only by working together within groups of leaders like ATAG will we achieve our individual and collective objectives”. ATAG executive director Haldane Dodd added that all 2050 carbon decarbonisation strategies studied by ATAG “rely heavily on SAF,” describing the sector as “providing clean energy employment and investment opportunities on a global scale” and possessing “a future beyond today’s fossil fuel production”.
