Workers with Highlands and Island Airports Limited (HIAL) are to go on strike after snubbing a 5% pay increase.
The industrial action will affect all 11 HIAL airports, which are located in remote regions of Scotland in the north of the UK, and will take place on February 17 and from the 20th to the 23rd of the month.
Staff said the pay offer was "unacceptable" in the light of inflation hitting 13.4% and slammed the Scottish regional government, which owns HIAL, for not meeting the workers, who include security personnel, baggage handlers, ground crew as well as fire and rescue, security and administration.
