Leasing company Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC) has declared a one-time special dividend of $1.00 per share on WLFC's common stock. It is the first time the company has declared a cash dividend. It will be payable to shareholders of record on May 30, 2024, and is expected to be paid on June 7, 2024.
""Our ability to pay this dividend, continue to grow our lease portfolio, and further diversify our services offering, all while making significant progress in the de-levering of our balance sheet, speaks to the overall health and outlook of our platform,"" said WLFC executive chairman Charles Willis.
The company had reported first quarter revenues totalling nearly $120 million and a record pre-tax income of $30 million.
Willis added: ""As we look onward, we will be considering how a recurring dividend policy should play into our go forward strategy.""
