Wizz Air has stated that it will invest HUF25bn ($100m) into expanding its Budapest operations filling some of the void left by the collapse of Malev).
Wizz said it will add two Airbus A320s on a Budapest/Bucharest three times weekly route in March, and will increase frequencies on all other routes. It expects yearly passengers carried to reach 2 million—up 42.9% over its previous estimate of 1.4 million.
