In July 2021, Wizz Air carried 2,956,000 passengers at a load factor of 79% – representing a 62% improvement over July 2020 traffic, which reported a 60.5% load factor. Wizz Air’s July capacity measured in available seat kilometre (ASKs) was 5,849,993 – a 20% improvement over a year ago. Revenue per passenger kilometre (RPKs) rose by 55% to 4,565,691.
For the past 12 months to end July 2021, Wizz Air carried 13,572,502 passengers, down 52.1% compared to a year ago – with a load factor of 67.6%, down from 88.6% in the 12 months to end July 2020. Wizz Air’s 12 month to end of July capacity was 31,900,521 ASKs – a 39% decline over a year ago. Revenue per passenger kilometres (RPKs) fell by 53.1%% to 21,864,733 RPKs.
Wizz Air continued to grow its network during July 2021 with the official opening of its Rome Fiumicino base in Italy.
