Wizz Air carried 5.3 million passengers in June 2023 recording a 22.5% increase as compared to same time last year, at a load factor of 92.2%. The airline recently released its traffic figures for June 2023 along with CO2 emission statistics.

The airline added ten new routes to its Albanian network with new flights from Tirana to Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool (UK), Bucharest (Romania), Sofia (Bulgaria), Prague (Czech Republic) and Krakow (Poland) as a part of its winter schedule.

With this network expansion the airline has added almost 100 extra weekly flights this winter.

As a part of its long-term fleet renewal strategy Wizz Air will transition its entire fleet at London Luton in to A321neo to reduce carbon footprint going ahead.

In June 2023, Wizz Air recorded 51.5 grams per passenger/km CO2 emissions, almost 8.4% lower than June 2022.
