Wizz Air expands Budapest base with new Antalya flights

Wizz Air is expanding its route network by adding a new service between Budapest and Antalya. This is a part of the airline’s plan to include beach destinations for peak summer holiday season. This latest route marks the fourth destination opened from Hungary this year.

Wizz Air will conduct three weekly services on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. According to the airline, the new flight is part of the airline's broader route expansion plan, connecting Turkey to a number of other countries and cities.

Wizz Air inaugurated its Budapest to Antalya route with its Airbus A321neo jet, departing from Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) and arriving at Antalya Airport (AYT) on May 24, 2023.

Commenting on the service launch, Zsuzsa Trubek, Wizz Air spokesperson, said: "We are extremely proud that Antalya is a new Turkish route in our network. After the daily flights to Istanbul, a real Turkish holiday paradise is now opening its doors to the Hungarian public. This also proves the airline's efforts to make the travel experience accessible to everyone.”

In addition to the new Budapest to Antalya service, Wizz Air operates daily flights connecting Hungary's capital and Istanbul.

Wizz Air has also announced the launch of two new routes starting in October 2023. First is from Budapest to Copenhagen (CPH) and Sharm El Sheikh (SSH).
