Singapore Airlines has appointed Campbell Wilson as head of its new low-fare airline. Wilson, 40, has been with SIA Group for more than 15 years both in Singapore and abroad, will be founding chief executive (CEO) of the budget airline to be launched next year.
He joined SIA in April 1996 in Auckland and held marketing and sales positions in New Zealand and Australia. He moved to the head office in 2003, with appointments in the network revenue management and network planning departments.
In 2006, he was appointed vice- president of Canada operations and was subsequently appointed general manager of Hong Kong in 2008 and then general manager of Japan operations last year.
