WestJet and JAL in codeshare agreement

WestJet and Japan Airlines have agreed to codeshare in six of the Calgary-based carrier’s Canadian routes.
Japan Airlines passengers, once they’ve landed in Vancouver, will be free to be booked onto WestJet flights to Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Montreal, Toronto and Winnipeg using one ticket.
Passengers will also be able to book, through Japan Airlines, from those cities to Tokyo.

Alaska to resume Portland and Long Beach services
Alaska Airlines will resume daily nonstop service between Portland, Ore., and Long Beach, Calif., from March 12, 2012. Alaska Airlines previously served Portland-Long Beach for about one year until April 2010.

The flights will be operated for Alaska Airlines by SkyWest Airlines with a 70-seat Bombardier CRJ-700 regional jet.
