Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has announced that Vx Capital Partners has ordered its second AEI B737-400SF passenger to freighter conversion. The aircraft is a high gross weight 737-400 (MSN 28490) built in 1996 and will be converted at Airod Aerospace’s Kuala Lumpur facility, which is one of five authorized AEI Conversion Centers worldwide. This order will bring Vx Capital’s AEI B737-400SF freighter fleet to two.
Will Hudson, President of Vx Capital Partners stated: “We continue to believe that the B737-400SF cargo aircraft will fulfil an important requirement in the air cargo market for the next fifteen years at least. AEI has worked well with us in the past and we look forward to building our relationship with Airod Aerospace. Additionally, our decision to work with Airod for this conversion corresponds with the expansion of our aircraft and engine leasing business in the Asia Pacific region.”
“NADI & AAe are extremely proud that Vx Capital has chosen to be the launch customer for the B737-400SF PTF program undertaken by AIROD Aerospace in Malaysia. This further reinforces the conviction in our structural engineering capabilities and MRO experience built over the years. We are confident that the AEI conversion solution will allow us to deliver a very reliable aircraft which will meet Vx Capital’s stringent requirements for their operations” said Dato' Edron Hayata, Acting, Executive Director Commercial MRO, Aerospace Manufacturing & Business Development, NADI.
