Vuelling signs interline agreement with Flyr

Vuelling has signed an interline agreement with Flyr to offer passengers an expanded network of destinations especially in Scandinavia, North Africa and the Middle East.

Vueling customers have more choice on the Norwegian domestic market and in Scandinavia, while Flyr passengers have access to more transit options between Malaga and other cities in Spain, North Africa and the Middle East.

This digital solution is powered by Icelandic company Dohop, whose API-based technology facilitates the creation of partnerships and optimises interline air services. The system allows users to book a multi-leg journey, covered by more than one operator, in a single booking process.

Jesús Monzó, Vueling’s Distribution and Alliances Manager, said: “Vueling continues investing on the virtual interlining technology through this partnership with Flyr. Our customers will benefit from an enhanced value proposition, increased merchandising capabilities, and expanded network.”

Thomas Ramdahl, CEO of Flyr, said: “At Flyr we are pleased that this opportunity to partner with Vueling and Dohop we will be able to offer our guests, and an increased number of potential guests, a wider reach to international destinations and enjoy the benefits of interlining advanced technology.”

The Vueling Global platform has allowed the Barcelona-based airline to expand its business model based on the European regional market by marketing services provided by other airlines.
