Spanish low-cost airline Vueling flew its first trip to Iceland from Barcelona. After a short stop at Keflavik airport the plane went back to Barcelona and 75% of the passengers were Icelanders.
The airline plans to fly to Iceland twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, and from Iceland to Barcelona on Tuesdays and Fridays. Vueling is the second largest airline in Spain and flies to over 100 destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa. Iceland is one of the 32 new destinations this summer. It is possible to take a connecting flight from Barcelona to Mallorca, Ibiza, Malaga, Seville, Rome and other places.
