UAE-based Volga-Dnepr Group has introduced its first Boeing 777 customer for MRO services.
The Boeing 777 is a new addition to the VD Gulf portfolio and adds to the company’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities for Boeing 747/ 737CL/NG and Airbus A320 family aircraft.
The Iraqi Airways’ 777 aircraft is set to undergo heavy C-check and other out-of-phase tasks along with ADs/SBs. The whole process of base maintenance work took 14 days and was orchestrated by VD Gulf’s team of experts, the company says.
Ayrat Gilmutdinov, VD Gulf’s director commercial, said: “We have been expanding our services in line with our customers’ expectations. Given that many operators are switching to the Boeing 777 aircraft type, it was important for us to respond to customer requests in a timely manner and to be able to offer them high-quality services for their latest fleet additions. We are proud to have carried out this work for Iraqi Airways and grateful for their trust in VD Gulf.”
