Mexican low-cost carrier Volaris carried 2.7 million passengers in August 2025, marking a 4% increase.
“The third quarter is unfolding in line with our expectations," said Volaris president and CEO Enrique Beltranena. "In August, our domestic load factor reflected a healthy balance between market supply and demand. Internationally, we continued to tactically focus on supporting unit revenues by maximizing base fares and ancillaries.”
However, load factor was down 2.3 percentage points to 84.7%. Domestic load factor was up 0.4 percentage points to 90.3%, while international load factor was down 5.4 percentage points to 77.3%.
Domestic passengers were up 2.5% to 2 million, while international passengers climbed 8.7% to 708,000.
Capacity was up 4.7% in the month, driven by a 14.1% increase in international capacity, offset by a 1.4% in domestic decline.
